The new Ideal xtra range of boilers complements the market leading range of condensing boilers. This new range is offered initially in six models with outputs from 80 to 280kW suitable for floor standing application in either single or multiple applications.
Like all boilers the xtra is offered as standard with the high efficiency operation that you would expect from a condensing boiler range. With non condensing efficiencies of up to 97.7% nett (88% gross cv), and up to 107.5% nett (96.9% gross cv) at 30% load in condensing mode. The full range meets the requirements of the latest 2006 Building Regulations (Part L2).
The fully modulating burner operation ensures that the boiler operates as efficiently as possible throughout its firing cycle even down to 20% of the maximum rating. This ensures that the boiler is able to match its output to all system requirements no matter the size.
The full range is built around a solid and reliable cast aluminium heat exchanger design comprising of several sections dependent upon boiler size. Burner operation is a pre mix design with air and gas mixed in the correct proportions and fired through a cylindrical burner in the upper area of the heat exchanger. Heat is forced down through the heat exchanger therefore ensuring maximum heat transfer whilst condensate formed drops into the sump at the base of the boiler.
The sections build from front to back ensuring that all models in the range have the same width e.g. 600mm making the full range easily transportable through standard doorways.
The full range meets and exceeds all current legislation governing the design, manufacture and safety of heating boilers for commercial applications. Low NOx emissions are a key factor of the boiler with Class 5 performance across the range.
Optimum control is achieved at all times through the use of a microprocessor control readily accessible on the boiler front. Commissioning and full fault diagnostics are provided whilst remote indication of boiler run and alarm is standard. A wide range of control options ensures easy application of BMS systems, sequencing and sensor control.
