The Senator calorifier is a stand alone unit which delivers high
volumes of domestic hot water. Compact in size and impressively
efficient in performance, Senator calorifiers meet all stored hot water
needs.
With seven calorifiers to choose from, offering storage capacities
from 150-1000 litres, there is a Senator for virtually any application
from large domestic to commercial/industrial installations. And
because they are manufactured in high grade sheet steel, Senator
calorifiers can withstand higher hot water working pressures, up to
10 bar, if required. All calorifiers are fully compatible with Ideal's
market leading commercial/industrial boiler range.
Another key advantage is high efficiency throughout the range, with a
vitreous enamelled steel heat exchanger to provide optimum heat
transfer and long life. Further enhanced with protection by either
magnesium or applied current anodes. The calorifier itself is encased
in dense 50mm (CFC free) polyurethane foam to ensure highest
standards of insulation and energy efficient performance.
Compact design ensures the Senator range is easy to install,
occupying the minimum possible footprint area. Adjustable feet are
fitted as standard on all calorifiers to make levelling on site simple.
Senator calorifiers can be drained via the cold water inlet connection.

the range
The Buccaneer GTE and Falcon GTE range of combination boilers
offer all the benefits associated with Ideal Boilers, with the capacity
to deliver large volumes of hot water from a single unit. Compact in
size, easy to install, and user friendly controls ensure the range
meets all needs.
Suitable for oil or gas burner operation, the choice of 5 models offers
heating outputs from 21 - 64kW. For hot water supply, the
Buccaneer is supplied complete with a 160 litre or 250 litre tank
offering flow rates up to 885 litre/hr, whilst the Falcon comes with
either 150 or 250 litre tank for a massive 950 litres/hr. The DHW
tanks allow genuine rapid response to hot water demands, and
significantly higher flow rates than ordinary instantaneous solutions.
The robust cast iron boiler bodies with low temperature return
capability, provide high efficiency and durability. The glass lined
steel tanks are provided with magnesium anodes for long life, and all
components, boiler, tank and connecting pipes have high insulation
levels to minimise standing losses. Full control is built in with a hot
water pump supplied as standard along with a DHW thermostat
within the boiler control panel.
The new Buccaneer and Falcon GTE combination boilers are
compact in size, allowing straightforward installation in confined
plant room spaces. The combined heating and hot water solution in
one boiler minimises installation costs and space requirements,
particularly in decentralised systems. A pressurised combustion
chamber enables connections to the smallest possible flue sizes,
whilst servicing access is easy. Advanced performance made simple
by the industry market leader, Ideal Boilers.
Control panels are mounted on the front of the boiler casing.
The boiler is supplied with a control panel for on/off operation.
It includes a boiler thermostat, safety thermostat, fuse, or circuit
breaker (Buccaneer) on/off switch, boiler thermometer, and burner
cable.
Adjustment to the boiler control thermostat is normally limited to the
range 30-85°C (30-90°C Buccaneer). Overheat thermostat is preset
to a temperature of 110°C.
A domestic hot water priority sensor is fitted in the control panel with
a thermostat adjustable over the range 10-80°C. A thermometer is
mounted on the tank front panel (Falcon) or boiler control panel
(Buccaneer). DHW primary temperature is adjustable, as is the
storage temperature (10-80°C).
